Hi! Hello friend,
I hope you're well and taking the new year slowly. Today, I'm pulling back the curtain to share a bit about how I'm working to make Lizzie Clark Designs as earth-friendly as possible. It's a process that excites me and is close to my heart. Read on to learn how your support creates positive change!
The Heart of Sustainable Sourcing —
Every material choice in my studio is an intentional decision around, "Can this be kinder to our planet?" It's led me down some fascinating paths. I've cultivated relationships with manufacturers, both international and domestic, who share my values in the sustainable fabrics they use — linens, cottons, and fabrics made from recycled water bottles!
One of developments that stretches my creativity has been transitioning to 90-95% plastic-free packaging. Every order that leaves my studio is wrapped with care in materials that won't linger in landfills – think paper tape, cardboard materials, and even compostable mailers. Even the cello sleeves for art prints and gift tags are bio degradable or compostable. It's these small choices that add up to meaningful change.
And speaking of meaningful change, I'm particularly thrilled with the carbon neutral shipping program we use. It might sound fancy, but it's really about taking responsibility for the environmental impact of getting your treasures from my studio to your doorstep. By using Sendle shipping, I can offer competitive shipping costs with carbon neutral delivery. Looking Forward — As we continue this sustainability journey together, I'd love to hear your thoughts! What eco-friendly practices matter most to you? Hit REPLY and let me know – your input helps shape the future of Lizzie Clark Designs.

Use/Read/Want for February—here's this month's roundup. . .
- Use—Tom Studio's Wren sustainable pen has become my constant companion. It's a beautiful example of how sustainability and style can coexist perfectly! See for yourself!
- Read—"Custom Products Made Easy" by Rebecca Woolbright has been eye-opening. It's helping me reimagine how we can create beautiful things while treading lightly on our planet.
- Want—I'm obsessed with Cadence Travel Containers! They're revolutionizing how we think about reusable packaging, and I'm drawing inspiration from their innovative approach. Bonus points for functional beauty!
(I personally use and dream of the products mentioned. They don't pay me and I don't benefit from mentioning them. If there's something you would like to share with the community, let me know. I'll be happy to include it!)
What Passes for Excitement Around Here
. . huge thanks to everyone who responded to the survey last month! Your input played a big part in which prints I'm releasing now, and which need a bit more development. I'm thrilled to be offering new sustainable textile pieces in my line. Take a look at the collection of placemats, table runners, and napkins from One Napkin.

That's it for now, and I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Hit Reply if you have something to share! I’m so grateful for your support. Sending peaceful energy your way.
Until next time, Lizzie
P.S. I mentioned above about fabrics made from recycled bottles. The lovely towels and cloths from Geometry are made with these fabrics. Use CODE LIZZIECLARK to get 15% off your entire order. Loads of wonderful artists work to choose from.
P.P.S. Forward this to a friend who loves beautiful, sustainable design. I'm always looking for more input on what I'm putting out into the world.
